I'm a music therapist. My primary instrument is the piano. For the past few years, I collaborated on a project at the Nordoff-Robbins Centre for Music Therapy at NYU to develop tools to evaluate the progress that autistic children make in music therapy. I believe that experiences of musical engagement with others are very supportive for children, and am dedicated both to creating occasions for such experiences through my clinical work and to furthering research in the field. My first language is English, and I speak French.
Daniel Wilson, PhD.
In the tradition of Nordoff-Robbins music therapy I work more directly with your child while Heidi engages musically with your child. I'm particularly interested in how creative play opens a space of expression and experience that can help both younger and older children enter into new kinds of relationships with others. I have a PhD from Cornell University, and my research and writing focuses on the relationship between experience, language, and creativity. I'm originally from the United States, and have lived in Montreal for 15 years. My mother tongue is English and I speak French.
